Meet the Pixies....

Pixies

have been instructing Poi Spinning and Hooping Workshops in their downtown Victoria Studio since the Spring of 2001. It is our pleasure to have shared in the growth of the Global Skilled Arts Community, and to be able to spend the time learning and sharing with all of you!

Pixie Nicole has been hooping since 2001 and teaching people of all ages and walks of life to hoop since 2002. Hoopdance has offered Nicole both a creative outlet and a chance to engage in one her other favorite pastimes: building hoops! This passion has turned into a full time job - Pixie Hoops Partner & Production Director!

Nicole has been custom building all sorts of hoops since the day she learned to hoop (she even constructed her very first hoops to learn to spin) From the very small, fast hoops like the bumble bee, to big bad eco bamboo hoops and including glowing LED hoops and sometimes even (when she is feeling adventurous) hoops lit on fire, Nicole is happy with just about any kinda hoop she can find! Teaching people hoopdance is a rewarding experience every time and Nicole is doing her best to make hoodance accessible to people of all ages and walks of life. Her latest project is a collaboration project to create an online hooping classroom and Pixie Network, so stay tuned!


Pixie Angy has been performing with the Poi Pixies Fyre & Lyte Show for several years now; causing mischief wherever she goes. A lover of poi spinning, hoopdance and burlesque performance you can find this Pixie on many a stage throughout Victoria.

Angy fell in love with the hoop in early 2006 and followed the path to embrace her inner child and then took it to a whole new level. She feels grounded yet completely free when she is hooping allowing her to be one with the universal glitter.



Pixie Laurel found her passion for dance inside the hoop and has been a hoop-addict ever since. She started performing and teaching in 2007, and now specializes in multiple hoops, LED glow-hoop performance, and fire hooping. Her latest projects involve simultaneous fire-hoop and fire-fan performance, hoop - vocal - improv, partner hooping, and multiple hooping on stilts. The only thing that brings her as much joy as hooping, is encouraging others to pick up the hoop... 100% Pixie Certified!




Pixie Heather's love of skill toys and flow started when she joined Victoria Rhythmic Gymnastics in 1995, she twirled and tossed ribbons, clubs, balls, ropes and hoops until 2002. She discovered poi through friends in 2004 and found it came quite naturally to her with her gymnastics training. After a few years of practice, she starting performing as half of the fire spinning duo Pirouette Inferno at private, public and charity events. In late 2009, Heather discovered the hoop... She’s been spinning and spreading her love of hoopdance ever since!!


Pixie Natasha :: Founder of Pixie Productions and Poi Instructor to 1000's! Natasha's message to the world "We spin to learn and human kind could learn a lot from listening to our hoops!" Flow Arts are a doorway through the vortex of light matter we perceive in everyday life; letting a little bright light in and empowering community with energy, creativity and flow! Natasha is now in Fiji setting up our Jungle HQ. We are pleased to introduce the newest development in Pixie Land "Gaiatree Sanctuary" a slice of paradise designed for all your organic spinning needs.
